SEND Statement

Bright Futures Nursery is committed to the integration of all children and young people aged from 0-12 years with additional needs. Although the SEND system's support individuals from ages 0-25 years our provision cares for children and young people up to the age of 12 years old.

All children and young people have the right to be educated and develop to their full potential alongside each other. It is a positive experience to be able to share the same opportunities and overcome any difficulties together, ensuring staff, children, young people, families and parents/carers feel they can contribute and feel valued.

At Bright Futures we welcome applications on behalf of children with special educational needs and disability. Children who attend our nursery and who have special educational needs and disability are offered every opportunity to play, learn and develop to their full potential.

At Bright Futures we have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator - SENCO, who is trained to be aware of SEND and related issues. The SENCO is trained to support all of our Nursery staff in the provision of care, education and play for children with special educational needs.

Bright Futures also has partnerships with area SENCOs and other professional agencies that can provide additional information and support for parents, children and staff.

If it is felt to be in to be in the best interests of your child, and other children at the nursery, we may find it necessary to help you to find alternative support.
